Tipperary publican calling time after almost 50 years

The “For Sale” has gone up on Chawke’s Pub in Clonmel.

Gerry Chawke first opened the doors to the pub on Upper Gladstone Street in February of 1969.

The 72 year old and his wife Ann have now decided to retire from the business.

The pub is being sold as a going concern by Sherry Fitzgerald Power & Walsh.
