Tipperary Gardaí urge farming community to be security conscious

As the Bank Holiday weekend approaches Gardaí in Tipperary are advising people to be conscious of having adequate security measures in place.

Many people in the Premier County will be making the most of the long weekend to have some down-time.

However Crime Prevention officer in the Tipperary Division Sgt John McCormack says this doesn’t apply to the criminal element.

“We’ve had reports from neighbouring Divisions in relation to farm buildings and outbuildings left unattended and open. There’s been a number of burglaries in neighbouring Divisions and we are just warning people to lock up their property and make sure its safe at this time of the year.”
