Tipperary duo convicted of dangerous driving in Kerry

Two Tipperary men have been ordered to pay €3,500 each after they were convicted of dangerous driving.

The incidents took place in Killarney during the Rally of the Lakes last April.

21 year old Iarflaith O’Brien of Ravendale, Rathmanna, Thurles and 25 year old Martin Hayden of Longfordpass, Urlingford, Thurles both pleaded guilty to the charges when they appeared before Killarney District Court yesterday.

The pair will now have to pay €3,500 each to the court poor box to get the charge reduced to one of careless driving, but they will still get penalty points and have a conviction.
