Tipperary County Council is drawing up new planning guidelines on cluster housing in villages around the county.

The new guidelines will be published in September in a bid to promote low density housing development in villages all across the Premier.

The local authority wants to make it easier for landowners to get pre-planning approval for multiple sites on the outskirts of small villages to help breath new life into them.
