Clonmel boxer Dean Gardiner is readying himself for action in the semi final of the National Elite Championships this evening.

The two-time Irish Elite super heavyweight champion faces Patrick Nevin of St Michael’s in Dublin in the National Stadium.

The other semi-final will be contested by Crumlin’s John McDonnell and Rathkeale’s Martin Keenan.

The final will take place on Saturday February 24th.
