Tipp tandem pair 71 hours into Race Around Ireland

The Tipperary tandem pair of Peter Ryan and Sean Hahessy have covered over 1,200 kilometres of their Race Around Ireland.

They are aiming to become the first tandem to complete the gruelling 2,150 kilometre endurance event which started in Meath last Sunday – they’re 71 hours into the event with a total 132 hours allowed to complete the course.

Peter – who if from Drombane and Carrick on Suir man Sean have been getting by on just a couple of hours sleep each day.

Physio Ailish Grant from Ballycahill is part of the support team.

All going well Sean and Peter will be passing through Clonmel and Carrick on Suir tomorrow.
