Tipperary postmasters are hoping to secure the future of their post offices with the introduction of Current Accounts for members.
It comes as between 500 and 700 post offices across the country risk closure.

A private members bill was brought before the Government in November 2016 by the rural Independents group, which includes Tipperary TDs – Michael Lowry and Mattie McGrath.
It called for the implementation of an action plan to ensure the future of post offices, however, the bill has not progressed.
