The Tipperary Footballers could be set for a significant boost on the injuries front ahead of their all Ireland qualifier against Armagh.

Philip Austin and All-Star Michael Quinlivan could be in line to start the game in Semple Stadium on Saturday after coming off the bench during the victory in Cavan last weekend.

Manager Liam Kearns says the pair will be monitored in training this week but he’s hopeful they’ll be available from the throw-in.

Paddy Codd – who missed the Cavan game with a hamstring problem – and Willie Connors could also be in the mix.

But Kearns says Colm O’Shaughnessy is unlikely to make this weekend’s match after going off injured in Kingspan Breffni last Saturday.

Tipp and Armagh throw-in at 5 o’clock on Saturday evening in Semple Stadium – Tipp FM’s live coverage is in association with Jim Strang and Sons, Kilsheelan, main Peugeot dealers.
