The honours have been running for over a decade – this was Tipp FM’s first year to enter the competition.
The station is very proud to sponsor the Tipp Senior Camogie team but Susan Murphy says the feeling was that a lot more could be done to promote the game.
Tipp FM’s coverage of Camogie on air has been added to with promotion on our digital media platforms as well as a county wide billboard campaign featuring members of the senior team.
Chairperson of the Tipperary Camogie Board Bridget Bourke says the game now has a much higher profile in the county.
The award will be presented to Tipp FM at a special ceremony in Croke Park later this month.
While the Tipp Camogie Senior team is naturally the one in the spotlight – Susan Murphy says the award is about so much more.
