Tipp cyclist on Irish squad for French race

Clonmel cyclist Jamie Blanchfield has been selected on the Irish team for a top stage race in France.

The Carrick Wheelers rider is part of the six-man squad which will take to the start line for the Kreiz Breizh Elite race on Saturday.

It’s a 4 stage event held over three days in Brittany.

This year’s event also features a one day race for elite women with a five strong Irish team – including Elite National Champion Eve McCrystal – taking to the start line today.
