LIT has received it’s first corporate funding for a scholarship programme from a Tipperary business.
American company Amneal Pharmaceuticals, based in Cashel, has joined a number of community-minded businesses who have come together to support students in LIT.
Amneal Pharmaceuticals has decided to sponsor a student from Cashel Community School who will go on to study Social Care in LIT in Limerick next year.
Companies working with the programme have donated more than €650,000 to support students who need financial aid.
The Leaders@LIT scholarship Programme has enabled students to continue to 3rd level education, who may not otherwise be able to.
