This result leaves Tipperary in 5th place on the table on 3 points ahead of the visit of Meath to Semple Stadium in a fortnights time.

Speaking to Tipp FM’s Stephen Gleeson after the game Paul Fitzgerald said Tipp have a lot of work to do ahead of that game.

The game at Cusack Park was overshadowed by an incident involving Tipp selector Shane Stapleton who was taken to hospital.

It’s reported Stapleton hit his head off the ground after he was allegedly pushed by Clare’s Jamie Malone, who was shown a red card.
Stapleton was kept in hospital overnight for observation after reportedly suffering a seizure.
