Thurles CBS advance to final eight, Nenagh’s Harty Cup defence ends

Thurles CBS are into the quarter-finals of the Dr. Harty Cup.

The Mid Tipp school join Cashel Community School in the last eight of the Munster U19A schools hurling competition.

Thurles overcame Our Lady’s Templemore in today’s preliminary quarter-final in The Ragg on a final scoreline of 1-21 to 1-06.

Robbie Ryan was the goalscorer for Thurles who were reduced to fourteen when Killian Cantwell received a red card whilst Philip O’Dwyer was the goalscorer for Our Lady’s.

Elsewhere, Nenagh CBS’ defence of the Harty Cup has come to an end.

Last season’s winners were beaten by Waterford’s De La Salle College in their preliminary quarter-final in Bansha, where it finished up 0-15 to 0-12.
