A total of 48 vehicles will be provided nationwide with three coming to the Premier County.

Clonmel Councillor Michael Murphy has welcomed what he describes as this crucial funding.

“Firstly the Fethard Day Care Centre get a new mobility vehicle to the value of €90,000, secondly the Irish Wheelchair Association – Tipperary South a new mobility transport vehicle €44,000 and finally the Irish Red Cross here in Tipperary – first responders – to the value of €50,000.

Councillor Murphy says the groups deserve recognition not only for securing the funding but also for the great work they do.
