A man has appeared before a special sitting of Nenagh district court charged with a series of driving offences in the county.

Yesterday evening, Thurles Roads Policing Unit stopped an SUV doing 208 kph in a 120 kph zone.

The driver was arrested and charged with having no license or insurance and for dangerous driving .

The vehicle was seized, the motorist was fined a thousand euro and received a four month suspended sentence.
