Almost €2,500 has been raised to rebuild a barn destroyed by fire at the Cloughjordan Community Farm.

The blaze, which occurred last week, destroyed the timber barn, as well as machinery, food and fodder.

The farm uses bio-dynamic farming methods to produce organic food, providing for around 70 households in the area on a weekly basis.

However as much of their equipment is now destroyed, they’re funding money to get back on their feet.

Pat Malone, Farm Manager at Cloughjordan Community Farm, explains how the fund was set up.
