Success for Nenagh’s New Institute snooker club at National Championships

There was success for the New Institute snooker club in Nenagh over the weekend.

The Irish amateur championships came to a conclsuion in the SBI Academy in Carlow over the last two days.

7-time Irish amatuer champion Brendan O’Donoghue made it all the way to the final but was beaten 7-1 by Kilkenny’s Davy Morris.

However, there was success for Nenagh’s Noel Gleeson in the U21 national final.

The Puckaun native beat Wexford’s Adam Halnon 4-1 to claim his second successive U21 crown.
