As Storm Brian gathers strength – more than 36,000 customers are still without power following Ophelia – including thousands in the Premier County.

Met Eireann says some flooding is expected over the weekend, mostly in coastal regions.

A status yellow wind warning is in place for Tipperary until this evening at 10pm.

However, the National Emergency Coordination Group says this storm does not present exceptional public safety issues.
