Snow has been reported, mainly in the north of the county – and in areas on higher ground.

Some of the areas affected include Hollyford, Thurles, Holycross, Templetuohy, Roscrea, Portroe, Carrick on Suir and Nenagh.

Elsewhere while there’s no snow in Cahir and Clonmel yet, motorists are being advised that there’s alot of surface water on the N24, particularly on the Tipperary town side of Cahir, due to heavy rain overnight.

Freezing temperatures between minus 2 and minus 8 degrees are expected tonight.
