Slight dip in Tipp car sales

New car sales in Tipperary were down slightly last month.

A total of 1,171 T registrations were recorded in January compared with 1,193 in January 2017.

However motor dealers in the Premier County haven’t been as badly his as their counterparts in other counties.

The drop of almost 2% compares with a 17% fall in sales in Cavan and Leitrim, 16% in Mayo and 13% in Donegal.

Carlow, Kildare, Offaly and Wicklow were the only counties to record an increase in sales for the first month compared to last year.
