Significant reduction in numbers on trolleys

The number of people on trolleys at local hospitals has dropped drastically in light of the coronavirus containment measures.

INMO figures show 234 people are being treated on trolleys across the country, including 17 at South Tipp General in Clonmel and 11 in University Hospital Limerick.

Sligo University Hospital has the highest figure in the country today at 23.
