Members of the Nenagh Municipal District will link up with their counterparts from the Killaloe Ballina Municipal District this afternoon.
The meeting between the Tipperary and Clare local authorities will discuss the long awaited Shannon Crossing.
The multi-million Euro project is aimed at easing the chronic congestion which has been experienced in the twin towns over the years.
The plan itself consists of the Shannon Bridge Crossing, the Killaloe bypass, and upgrading works costing €16.6m on the road linking Ballina and Birdhill.
Cathaoirleach of the Nenagh Municipal District John Carroll says the project will be a game changer for the area.
