The South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association was called into action on the Comeragh Mountains last evening.
The Clonmel based group received a call from the National Ambulance Service just after 5pm to assist a walker with an ankle injury on Coumshingaun.
A total of 19 SEMRA members responded with the casualty stretchered off the mountain through some dense undergrowth to a waiting ambulance at Kilclooney Bridge.
Meanwhile people are being reminded not to park at forest barriers or on forest tracks as these can be vital access points for mountain rescue.
Yesterday’s efforts were hampered by a vehicle parked on the track on the way up to the woods.
