Water’s out for a second time this weekend for 3,000 local homes and businesses on the Galtee Regional Supply following another burst pipe on the scheme last night.
Uisce Éireann says this is another complicated repair job and will take hours to fix with some parts without water until tomorrow.
Areas affected include Lisnagaul, Lisvernane, Bansha, Aherlow, Breanshmore, Mount Bruis, Kilross, Shronell, Ardlomen, Lattin, Glenbane, Limerick Junction, Emly, Ballycurrane, and Clonpet.
There’s water tankers available in Emly village, Limerick Junction and Lattin village until full supply is restored.
Water only returned to some of these workplaces and households yesterday after a burst on Friday.
Pierce Faherty, Operations Lead at Uisce Éireann, stated: “We understand the inconvenience caused by a significant outage like this. This is the second major burst on this scheme in recent days. Crews are on the ground working to repair it as quickly as possible and restore normal supply. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.”
