Tipperary cyclist Sam Bennett has been ruled out of the first race of this year’s pro cycling season in Australia.
The Carrick on Suir native is said to have picked up a cold while travelling to Australia where he was due to kick off the season in The People Choice Criterium on Sunday.

Bennett has been isolated from his Bora Hansgrohe team and it is hoped he will recover in time for the Tour Down Under.
