Tipperary manager Michael Ryan says he can’t explain where Tipperary went wrong following their 16 point defeat to Galway in the National Hurling League Final.

Galway ran out 3-21 to 14 point winners, in a one sided game which saw three goals for Galway – two from Cathal Mannion and one for Jason Flynn to close out the win.

The reigning All-Ireland champions never got going, leaving Ryan with plenty to ponder before their Munster quarter-final with Cork next month.

He says Tipp were below par in a number of positions.
