The difficulties facing people trying to access local authority housing in Tipperary will be one of the issues up for discussion at a public meeting this evening.
3,500 families are on the housing list in the Premier County with 120,000 across the country.
A number of guest speakers will address the gathering in the Park Hotel in Clonmel – they include Dr Rory Hearne of TASC and Mike Allen of Focus Ireland.

The meeting is organised by Independent TD Seamus Healy – he says the lack of new local authority houses in Tipperary is a major part of the problem.
