Protests outside Clonmel cemetery

Locals opposed to plans to ban cars from entering Clonmel’s main cemetery are accusing the council of going behind their backs.

A meeting was due to take place between both sides later this week on the matter.

However it’s claimed Clonmel Borough District crews were told to begin erecting bollards at St Patrick’s Cemetery today.

Anne Kerton is one of around 20 people who have gathered at the cemetery – she says their protest will continue.
