Planning approved for redevelopment of Clonmel business premises

Planning permission has been given for the demolition and rebuilding of Butler’s Bar and B+B in Clonmel.

It had to be taken down by the owners, Maisem Ltd., after structural defects were found in the external walls during refurbishment.

A comparable replacement building of more than 500 square metres over three storeys plus attic is being put up on the site in Irishtown

The bar on the ground floor will have a new layout with a repositioned plant/keg store, new toilets and back of house facilities.

The B and B consists of 13 bedroom on levels 1-to-3 with changes to the breakfast room, the entrance hall and stairs
