Those calling for action in relation to animal cruelty in Tipperary are being asked to put their money where their mouth is.

It follows the death of yet another horse in Clonmel in recent days.

The young animal was found dead on a Council owned field at Glenconnor late last week – and just a month after the carcasses of a number of horses were removed from land at Knocklofty.

The Knocklofty case drew significant criticism with hundreds posting comments on the Action for Animal Welfare Facebook page.

However speaking on Tipp Today earlier Ann Williamson – who is involved with the group – said this didn’t result in much needed financial support for their efforts.
