Ormond Castle is finally set to reopen to the public this week.

After extensive refurbishment the manor in Carrick on Suir which was built in the mid 15th century will welcome back visitors from Thursday.

Ormonde Castle is the only surviving Tudor manor house left in Ireland.

To celebrate the reopening the OPW is offering free admission to the site until the end of July.

The Castle will open daily 10.00 to 6.00 until Tuesday 31st October 2017.
