Those behind a teenage disco in the Premier County this week have dismissed claims of inappropriate behaviour by those attending.

Around 300 15 to 17 year olds attended Wednesday night’s event in The Ragg which was to raise funds for Pieta House.

A number of callers to Tipp FM were highly critical of the antics of some of those claiming they had consumed alcohol and were also openly engaging in sexual acts outside the venue.

However speaking on Tipp Today one of the organisers – Rebecca – said this wasn’t the case.

While admitting that some of those attending had consumed alcohol before going in she said the event was well run and properly controlled and she had the full backing of the venue with full security in place
