Representatives of Uisce Éireann are to meet local Councillors today to discuss ongoing problems with the water supply for the county.
Cllrs have made repeated calls for the utility to come before the local authority’s plenary meeting to explain the lack of progress in dealing with the issues and increasing capacity.

At the moment there are two boil water notices affecting almost 5,000 local homes and businesses in the Carrick on Suir and Horse & Jockey areas, and there was a significant outage in Tipperary Town and the surrounding areas last night.
This morning’s meeting will be behind closed doors at the council offices in Nenagh.
