Ormond Castle will be officially opened today following its extensive 2 and a half year facelift.

The stunning historic structure in the heart of Carrick on Suir is the best surviving example of an Elizabethan manor house in Ireland.
While it reopened its doors to visitors late last month, Junior Minister with responsibility for the OPW Kevin “Boxer” Moran is on hand for the official ceremony this afternoon.
Local Councillor Kieran Bourke says there’s been a very positive reaction to it.
