North Tipp civic amenity sites to be revamped

Tipperary County Council is to spend €600,000 in bringing the sites in Nenagh and Roscrea up to the same standard as similar facilities in Clonmel, Cashel and Donohill.

It’s hoped the Roscrea recycling centre on the old Dublin Road will be upgraded this year.

However Director of Services Sean Keating says the civic amenity on the Limerick Road in Nenagh will require more work.

It’s located beside the council’s machinery yard and is accessed through a grit depot used by the Nenagh Municipal District.

It’s likely to be 2018 before that is fully upgraded.
