Newcastle group vow to continue Post Office battle

Residents of a South Tipperary village say they are not giving up on their efforts to prevent the local post office from closing.

Despite the best efforts of a committee set up to oppose the decision to wind down the service in Newcastle early next year an independent review has upheld An Post’s decision.

Spokesperson for the Save Our Post Office Committee Mary Doran says they’re not accepting this as a done deal.
