New state of the art pay & display parking machines have been installed in Cashel.
Eight of the solar powered units are in place at a number of locations across the popular tourist town.
Councillor John O’Heney has welcomed the roll out saying as well as being more user friendly they are also more environmentally friendly.
“It’s a very proactive move by Tipperary County Council – they’re always looking for new ways to improve the infrastructure in the area and especially in our towns.
“They’re more sustainable and they’re also more user-friendly. They accept coins and credit cards with ‘tap to pay’ technology. So it’s very convenient – particularly at the height of the summer and the tourism season when we would have extra traffic around the town and extra people using the machines.
