Narrow second round defeat for Slevin at Players Championship 26

It was a second round exit for Dylan Slevin on the PDC ProTour today.

The Borrisokane man was in Wigan, competing in the 26th players championship event of the season.

The 21-year-old won his opening round game, beating Niels Zonneveld 6-5 to progress.

However, Slevin was beaten 6-4 by Jitse Van der Wal in their second round encounter, with the Dutchman finishing 137 to win the game.

With four players championship events to go, Slevin sits in 85th place, with the top 64 earning a place in the Players Championship finals.
