Much needed funding for Thurles school

The €1.4 million grant has been earmarked to build a new extension and to refurbish the existing school facilities Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed.

The current building dates from the 1980s, with a new canteen and PE hall opened in the late 2000’s.

While this money is welcome, Deputy Jackie Cahill says this is just the first step on a long road for the school.
