Tipp look set to be without a number of key players for next Sunday’s League outing against Kilkenny.
Key forwards John McGrath and Jason Forde look set to miss the game in Nowlan Park as they are due to line out with UL in the Fitzgibbon Cup final against DCU as are Barry Heffernan and Paul Maher. That game is on Saturday afternoon in Mallow.
Tipp brought to an end Wexford’s unbeaten run in the League at Semple Stadium on Saturday with a 3-21 to 1-21 win.
The Premier’s victory all but guarantees them a place in the top flight next season as well a berth in next month’s quarter-finals.
Wexford are still on course for a place in the last eight despite the loss.
Jason Forde was man of the match after scoring 2-9.
Speaking to Tipp FM after the game, he said it was great to get the two points.
Tipp boss Michael Ryan is pleased with their campaign so far.
