Maria Curley has been named as captain for the Tipperary Ladies Senior football team.

New manager Peter Creedon announced that the Templemore native would be leading the team for the upcoming season.

The defender is an experienced member of the panel, winning two All-Ireland Intermediate titles with the Premier.

Curley will lead the team out for the first time in their opening round game against Kerry in the National League on February 13th.
