Man killed in Cashel crash

A 44 year old man has become the 7th person to be killed on Tipperary roads in 2017.

The man was the single occupant of a car which crashed on the M8 at Cashel yesterday afternoon.

The 44 year old man was fatally injured in the single-vehicle incident, which happened at around ten past 3 yesterday afternoon on the M8 motorway just past junction 7 southbound at Ballyknock in Cashel.
He was the only occupant in his car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His remains were brought to Waterford Regional Hospital, where a post mortem will take place.
The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them at Cashel Garda Station on 062 – 75840.
