Man arrested in connection with discovery of €200,000 stolen equipment granted bail

A man who appeared at a special sitting of Clonmel District Court yesterday in connection with the discovery of 200,000 euro worth of stolen property has been released on bail.

Following an intelligence led operation, Gardaí stopped a vehicle in the Cahir area on Friday evening.

In a follow-up search a large quantity of stolen equipment – including various industrial generators, gardening and agricultural equipment – was recovered.

It’s believed to have been stolen during burglaries in Ireland and the UK.

The 29-year-old was granted bail and is due before Cashel District Court in July.
