Long awaited resurfacing works in Borrisokane are edging ever closer.
There were calls at this months meeting of the Nenagh Municipal District for an update on the project.
The current condition of the main street through Borrisokane has been described as ‘deplorable’ and ‘ a disgrace’.
A major overhaul of the N65 & N52 through the North Tipp town was finally sanctioned last year following years of complaints from local residents and business owners.
Councillor Joe Hannigan sought an update on the project at this months meeting of the Nenagh Municipal District.
District Manager Marcus O’Connor says the scheme is set to go to tender within weeks.
While the long awaited works are set to commence in the coming months Marcus O’Connor admits there will be disruption while it’s carried out.
However he says it will be worth the wait.
