Locals continue to protest outside West Tipp hotel

A peaceful protest is continuing in Dundrum this morning following the arrival of a number of International Protection Applicants to a local hotel yesterday.

Gardaí have also maintained a presence at Dundrum House Hotel overnight.

Local have been expressing their opposition to the proposals since news first emerged that the facility was to house IPA’s.

It has been home to a number of Ukrainian families who were fleeing the war in their home country.

There were some scuffles and one man was arrested yesterday – he has since been released without charge.
