We are keeping you up to date with all the latest notifications about closures and cessation of services across the Premier as we deal with a red weather alert across the country.

***ESSENTIAL SERVICES***
COUNTY COUNCIL OFFICES AND SERVICES
All County Council facilities including Motor Tax Offices, Libraries, Museums, Civic Amenity Sites and Arts Centres will be closed today and tomorrow.
HOSPITALS- SOUTH TIPP GENERAL AND UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL LIMERICK
All outpatient appointments and elective surgeries are cancelled today and tomorrow.
Emergency services will continue to be provided and Injury Units in Ennis, Nenagh and St John’s Hospital will continue to operate.
 
HSE HOME CARE SERVICES
 
All routine Community Healthcare services across Clare Limerick & North Tipperary are deferred for Thursday and Friday.
 
Only the most essential homecare and community nursing services are being prioritised for delivery to older people and people with disabilities.
 
Every effort is being made to maintain critical services in the home to complex paediatric cases and adults with high dependency.
 
JJ KAVANAGHS Bus Services
 
Dublin-Clonmel @ 11am, 1pm and 3pm
 
Dublin-Nenagh @1pm
 
Nenagh-Limerick @ 10am
 
Limerick-Nenagh @ 11am and 1pm
 
All other services have been postponed, unknown when will resume, possibly tomorrow
 
*BUS EIREANN have cancelled all services due to a nationwide Status Red weather warning.
 
They will review the situation for tomorrow later on today, but significant disruption is likely then too.
 
All school transport services will remain off in accordance with the red alert policy.
LOCAL LINKS
All local links services cancelled for Thursday and Friday.
BERNARD KAVANAGH COACHES
All local services cancelled today and will review on Friday
 
*CLONMEL CREDIT UNION, which was due to open today, will now remain CLOSED
*TIPPERARY TOWN CREDIT UNION  will close at 1.30pm today and all day on Friday
* THURLES CREDIT UNION is open from 10am to 2pm today Mar 1. Thurles Office will be closed tomorrow Mar 2. The Thurles Office will reopen on Sat from 12 to 4pm, weather permitting. Urlingford office is open from 10am to 12.30pm today, but will be closed on both Friday and Saturday. Killenaule office will remain closed today, Friday and Saturday.
* AIB Fethard is closed
 
*POST OFFICES
· Where weather conditions and public transport allow, Post Offices will open this morning.
 
ALL post offices will close at 1pm and remain closed tomorrow (Friday) and until further notice.
 
· An Post reminds all customers due to collect social welfare payments at Post Offices that their payments will be available for collection when this period of bad weather passes – please stay safe and do not make unnecessary journeys.
 
Advice regarding Post Office services will be updated in due course with due regard for staff safety and the advice provided by the National Emergency Coordination Group.

IRISH BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE CLINICS

The IBTS has cancelled all donation clinics (whole blood and platelets) nationwide today Thursday

*Kilcash Parent’s Association Table Quiz was due to be on tomorrow night 2nd March in Kehoe’s Pub, Kilcash has been postponed until Friday 9th March due to weather
*Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles-All masses cancelled on Friday, March 2nd

DUNNES STORES

Due to further bad weather overnight all Dunnes Stores in ROI and NI will be closed today Thursday 1st March and will not reopen until 1pm Friday 2 March – this reopening is subject to weather improvement.

TESCO

Due to the red snow & ice weather warning for all counties, our stores will close at 2pm today. Weather permitting, stores will open from 1pm on Friday and home deliveries will recommence on Saturday. We’ll keep these hours under review. Stay safe everyone!

SHOWGROUNDS CLONMEL

Due to a nationwide RED weather warning issued overnight, The Showgrounds will remain closed today – Thursday 1st March. We’ll update you with regards to Friday as the day progresses.

LIDL

All stores will now be closed from 3pm today until Friday afternoon.
Regional management may make decisions to extend these closures at local level depending on the weather conditions in their area.

 
*There will be no Mart in Templemore today
 
*All Peter Mark salons will be closed today due to the adverse weather conditions.
 
*Masses are cancelled at the Church of Resurrection in Clonmel today and tomorrow
* All 3 churches in Portumna Parish will be closed until Saturday March 3rd.
* Ss. Michael & John’s Church Cloughjordan CLOSED on Thursday and Friday. No First Friday Mass
*Hewitt’s bakery will be open until 2 o’clock today
 
*Nenagh Active Retirement has been cancelled today
*St Vincent day centre and Cuan Croi day centre in Tipperary Town are closed today and tomorrow
* Thurles Sarsfields Awards Night due to take place tomorrow night in the Clubhouse has been postponed due to the weather. A new date will be announced over the weekend.
