A Tipperary TD has submitted draft legislation aimed at tackling what he calls ‘the scourge of illegal and dangerous Sulky-Racing on the countries roads.’

The Prohibition of Sulky Racing Bill 2017 would see all local authorities and Gardaí given power to tackle the issue – and those found in breach of the law could face a 5000 euro fine or imprisonment.
