Kelly calls for price controls on in-demand Coronavirus products

A Tipperary TD has called for price controls on pharmacy products during the current outbreak of Covid-19.

Labour health spokesperson Alan Kelly is accusing some retailers of charging what he describes as “ridiculous prices” for items like hand sanitiser and protective face masks.

The Portroe based TD says the government should seriously consider restricting prices on certain products.
