Jockey Ana O’ Brien receives positive news regarding injuries

21-year-old Tipperary jockey, Ana O’Brien, has received some positive news following her fall at the Killarney Races last evening.

Scans show she hasn’t suffered damage to the brain, but has sustained fractured vertebrae in her neck and back as well as fractured cheek bones.

Ana is the youngest daughter of champion trainer Aidan O’Brien and was riding Druids Cross – a horse trained by her brother, Joseph.

The three-year-old colt suffered fatal injuries in the fall.
