Irish Rail has stated its commitment to reopening two temporarily closed railway services “before the end of the summer”.
The Waterford-Limerick Junction and Limerick-Ballybrophy services were suspended at the end of March due to the pandemic.

In a brief statement to Tipp FM, Irish Rail says it doesn’t have an exact date for the full restoration of services, but says they’re working towards a return before the end of the summer.
